Dave Griffore

Founder & CEO of Athletic Edge Consulting, LLC

My name is Dave Griffore and I am the Founder of Athletic Edge Consulting where my mission is to empower, educate, and support high school athletes as they explore the college recruitment process.


As a veteran of college athletics with over 22 years of experience, I understand first hand how overwhelming this time can be for athletes and their families.

Dave's career in College Athletics

  • ​National College Athletic Association (NCAA DI) swimmer from the University of New Mexico where I was a Western Athletic Conference Champion & 7-time school record holder.

  • Coach of college swimming for 16 years.

  • Assistant and then Associate Head Swim Coach at Eastern Michigan University (NCAA, Division I)

  • Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving post at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (NCAA Division I)

  • Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Swimming & Diving at Penn State University (NCAA DI)

  • Head Swim Coach at Emory & Henry College and was then promoted to Associate Athletic Director at Emory & Henry College (NCAA Division III) ​

  • Director of Athletics and Campus Recreation at Johnson & Wales University, North Miami (NAIA)
